About the role

An exciting vacancy has arisen within our People Team for a Nursery Room Leader, working with children aged 0-2 to deliver a high level of service to our team and departments on resort.

You will report to the Nursery Assistant Manager. The Room Leader will supervise and support team members in planning, organizing, and operating their room. Responsibilities include providing a stimulating and varied programme of play, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children, and working alongside the Nursery Manager to deliver a consistent experience for parents, carers, children, and the team, while ensuring compliance with all aspects of the Butlin’s Little Learners Day Nursery.

Typical working hours are 40 hours per week, from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday. This is a permanent role, as our nursery is open year-round.

About You

• You should hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 or above in childcare and have previous experience working in a nursery setting.
• You should have strong knowledge of statutory requirements, safeguarding, and the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
• Experience working with children aged 0-2 is desirable; training can be provided.
• You should enjoy working in a friendly environment, possess good communication skills, and enjoy teamwork.
• Being a great team player and thriving in a busy environment is essential. You should be adaptable, open to trying new things, and able to communicate with diverse groups of people.
