This setting based in Hemel Hempstead is looking to recruit a new member of the team. They have a Room Leader position opening.

Position: Room Leader

Hours: 40 to 45 hours per week based on a shift pattern between 7.30am to 6pm

Salary: £24,960 to £27,040 gross per annum

Main duties:

1. Promoting high quality childcare:
   • Room Leaders must ensure the environment of the room is highly stimulating.
   • Support good practices around Inclusion, including support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and those who use English as an additional language (EAL).
   • Some planning and resource adjustment to meet EYFS guidelines, with consultation from senior management for long-term planning or major changes.
2. Communicating with parents, carers, and local authorities:
   • Communicate openly and effectively with parents and carers.
   • Encourage staff to build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing advice and support as needed.
   • Good knowledge of ICT is required.
3. Keeping children safe and healthy:
   • Ensure all children are safe and healthy at all times by minimizing risks.
   • Understand all relevant health and safety policies, including safeguarding, emergency, and security procedures, and ensure staff adherence.
4. Supervising staff and assigning tasks:
   • Supervise staff, maintain positive relationships, and support their needs.
   • Assign tasks, provide advice, and mentor staff through training.
   • Ensure proper documentation and liaise with senior management for training.
   • Aim for effective teamwork to meet EYFS guidelines smoothly.
