Job summary

Zero2Five Recruitment is assisting a nursery near Hemel Hempstead in recruiting a Room Leader. This permanent role offers 36–40 hours per week across 52 weeks, with shifts Monday–Friday and a choice of a 4 or 5 day week. Salary ranges £33,150.20–£36,836.80 per annum (pro rata) and hourly rates £15.94–£17.71.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 or higher in early years, have at least 2 years of EYFS experience, and demonstrate safeguarding commitment and strong leadership to inspire a team.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or above full and relevant early years qualification.
• At least 2 years’ recent experience working in an early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS.
• Confident planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing.
• A positive, collaborative leader who can support and inspire a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of early years staff.
• Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities.
• Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing standards are met.
• Collaborate with nursery leadership to drive quality care.

About you
