Job summary

Busy Bees in the UK is seeking a Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms and drive high standards of care and learning. You will lead a team, embed the Bee Curious curriculum, and build strong relationships with families to support each child’s development.

This role combines leadership with hands-on practice in a nurturing nursery environment near Basingstoke, within a centre rated Good by Ofsted, and with strong community links and opportunities to grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in early years education or above.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with families.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
• Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
• Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring progress is tracked and communicated with parents.
• Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring holistic development and personal care needs.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met and environment is clean and secure.

Key Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
