Job summary

Busy Bees Canterbury is seeking a Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms and integrate educational strategies across the centre. You will inspire your team to achieve high standards of care and learning.

With a Level 3 in early years, supervisory experience is valued to foster leadership, ensure children's wellbeing, and maintain safety in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or higher in early years education.
• Supervisory experience in an early years setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for children.
• Foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership and collaboration.
• Oversee the development and wellbeing of children, ensuring progress is communicated with parents.
• Take on the role of Key Person for a group of children.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met and the environment is clean and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of age-appropriate activities and curriculum in your room.

• Take on the role of Key Person, ensuring the holistic development and personal care needs of a group of children.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met, maintaining a clean and secure environment.

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage ideally as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager or Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families.
