Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner / Teaching Assistant to support learning in a primary school nursery. You will work closely with the classroom teacher to tailor lessons and activities to meet each child’s needs.

Ideal candidates will have Level 2/3 in Support Teaching or Learning and experience in a nursery setting, plus strong empathy and communication skills. A referral bonus of £250 is offered for suitable candidate referrals.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Support Teaching or Learning or ratio equivalent.
• Experience working with children in a nursery environment.
• Strong empathy and understanding of individual student needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff and parents.
• Patience, resilience and ability to provide emotional support when needed.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving needs of the student and adapt teaching strategies.
• Knowledge of teaching methodologies and resources for supporting individual students.
• Qualifications in education or teaching assistant role are desirable but not essential.

• Provide individualized support to all children.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver tailored lessons and activities.
• Support the student's academic, social and emotional development.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to the student's learning style.
• Assist with assessment of progress and provide feedback to teacher and parents.
• Foster positive relationships with the student and establish communication with school and parents.
• Uphold the school's values, policies and procedures.
