Job summary

About Early Years Ltd. is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to provide high-quality care and development opportunities for children aged 0–5 years. Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Job Purpose

To provide high-quality care, learning, and development opportunities for children aged 0–5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The Level 3 Nursery Practitioner will support children's emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a safe, caring, and welcoming environment for all children.
  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress in line with EYFS requirements.
  • Act as a key person for a group of children, building strong relationships with children and their families.
  • Support children's personal, social, emotional, and educational development.
Safeguarding and Welfare
  • Maintain a high standard of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children at all times.
  • Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality.
  • Report any concerns regarding children's welfare promptly and appropriately.
Parent and Carer Partnerships
  • Build positive and professional relationships with parents and carers.
  • Share information regarding children's development, achievements, and wellbeing.
  • Support parents in promoting children's learning and development at home.
Teamwork and Professional Development
  • Work effectively as part of the nursery team.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and professional working environment.
  • Support students, apprentices, and new staff members where required.
Nursery Environment
  • Ensure rooms and resources are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Prepare and organise learning environments that are stimulating and inclusive.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice.
Essential Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Childcare or equivalent.
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing outstanding childcare and education.
Desirable Requirements
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate.
