Job summary

Busy Bees is recruiting an Early Years Educator for its Harrogate nursery. You will support the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children within a caring team and an established curriculum.

We value high-quality education and offer growth opportunities. The role includes attending to the EYFS framework and working within a vibrant nursery community, with options for 30 hours over 3 days or 40 hours over 4 days, to be discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
• Proven experience with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education.
• Good communication, organisational skills and ability to plan activities.

• Create a safe, stimulating environment to encourage growth and learning.

About our Nursery

Busy Bees Nursery in Harrogate, South Drive is an Ofsted-rated "Good" facility with a capacity of 52 children. It provides an ideal environment for children to learn, develop, and grow. Conveniently located just off the A61, it is a short drive from Harrogate city center. For those using public transport, the nursery is an 11-minute walk from Hornbeam Park train station and only a 14-minute walk from Harrogate Station, making it easily accessible for commuting families.

What to Expect as a Nursery Practitioner:

• Create a Safe, Stimulating Environment: Prepare materials and arrange rooms to encourage children’s growth and learning.
• Lead Educational Activities: Plan and deliver activities that support children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development, aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Key Person Role: Oversee children’s development, care needs, and build strong family connections.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 (or above) qualification in Early Years Education.
• Proven experience in working with children under 5 and a genuine interest in early childhood education
• Skills: Good communication capable or, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to apply knowledge of child development to plan and deliver activities.
