Job summary

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification – essential
• Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
• Good understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding and child development
• Confidence supporting engaging, age-appropriate learning activities
• A passion for child-led learning and outdoor exploration
• A warm, patient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A genuine commitment to helping children thrive

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS
• Plan and support engaging, play-based learning experiences
• Encourage children’s confidence, independence and individual development
• Make the most of the nursery’s dedicated learning rooms and extensive outdoor gardens
• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
• Observe, assess and record children’s developmental progress
• Support children’s daily routines and individual care needs
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
• Work collaboratively with the nursery team to maintain high standards of care
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and nursery procedures
