Job summary

Nurseplus is hiring a Nursery Practitioner – Level 2 to provide high-quality early years care across local nurseries in the UK. You will support children’s development, ensure safety, and help them learn through play in a caring team.

We offer flexible shifts, weekly pay at £14.75 per hour, industry-leading training aligned with safeguarding standards, and opportunities for funded qualifications such as NVQ Levels 2 and 3. A Blue Light Card is also available.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Diploma Level 2 or above in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• Good standard of English and clear communication.
• Right to work in the UK and be over 18.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily care, supervision and wellbeing of children in the nursery.
• Support planning and delivery of engaging activities to encourage development.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment meeting health and safety standards.
• Promote the nursery's values and ethos and support teammates.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues to ensure best practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Nursery Practitioner with Nurseplus, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality early years care and education. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the daily care, supervision, and wellbeing of children within the nursery setting.
• Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and stimulating environment that meets health and safety standards.
• Championing the nursery’s values and ethos to create a nurturing and positive atmosphere for children.
• Providing guidance and support to fellow team members, helping to lead by example and ensure best practice across the nursery.

What We’re Looking For

• You must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
• Willing to travel to multiple locations within your local area.
• NVQ Diploma Level 2 or above is essential in Childcare or Early Years Education.
• A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively.
• A clear enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.
