Job summary

Nurseplus is seeking a Nursery Assistant to work across Salisbury and surrounding areas, providing day-to-day care in nursery settings on short- or long-term placements. You will support children’s development, safety, and learning through play, joining a compassionate team across local sites.

Qualifications

• Over 18 years old and has the right to work in the UK.
• Previous nursery/childcare experience is desirable.
• NVQ Diploma Level 2 or 3 is desirable.
• Good standard of English and effective communication.
• Clear enhanced DBS (to apply on registration).

Responsibilities

• Manage daily schedule and assist with feeding, toilet breaks and rest time.
• Ensure a clean, safe environment for all children.
• Collaborate with team to plan and implement education activities.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and conduct risk assessments.
• Assist with record keeping.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working in early year's settings across south Wiltshire - Salisbury & all surrounding areas

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Nursery Assistant may include managing the daily schedule, assisting with routine tasks such as feeding, toilet breaks, rest time, and ensuring a clean and safe environment for all children. You’ll collaborate with other team members to plan and implement education activities helping children learn, whilst also adhering to health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and assisting with record keeping.

What We’re Looking For

• You must be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK.
• Previous experience working within a nursery or childcare setting is desirable.
• NVQ Diploma Level 2 or 3 is desirable.
• A good standard of English and the ability to communicate effectively.
• A clear enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration.
