Job summary

Bright Horizons Chelmsford Day Nursery and Preschool in Chelmsford, Essex, is seeking a full-time, qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our team. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a starting salary of £27,300 per annum and benefits.

You'll plan engaging activities, build strong partnerships with families, and uphold safeguarding, health and safety standards across our Bright Horizons setting, part of a network of nurseries across the UK.

Qualifications

  • Full and Relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, or similar)
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults

Responsibilities

  • Plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
  • Develop and maintain strong parent/carer partnerships.
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding.
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

Nursery: Bright Horizons Chelmsford Day Nursery and Preschool, 51 Centenary Way, Springfield. Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 6AU

Salary: £27,300 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)
Hours - Full time - 40 hours, Monday - Friday

Location: Chelmsford, Essex

We are looking for a full time, qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Chelmsford Day Nursery and Preschool.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
