Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nursery Practitioner Level 2 & Level 3 in Torquay, Devon. ASAP start with flexible shifts across Torquay and surrounding areas. Travel between nurseries required with a competitive hourly rate.

Ideal candidates will hold Level 2/3 in Childcare or Early Years, have nursery experience, and be able to commute. Paediatric First Aid is desirable. PAYE options available.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years.
• Experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting.
• Paediatric First Aid is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning and development through play-based activities.
• Create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
• Assist with daily nursery routines including mealtimes, outdoor play and personal care.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and nursery teams.
• Encourage children's independence, communication and social development.
• Follow safeguarding policies and EYFS guidelines.
