Job summary

Aspire People is seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to work in a Primary school's Nursery in West Bromwich. You will provide individualised support, collaborate with the class teacher to plan lessons, and promote the child’s academic, social and emotional development.

The role emphasizes creating a nurturing, inclusive environment, adapting strategies to each learner, and maintaining strong communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 Support Teaching or Learning (or ratio equivalent).
• Previous nursery experience with children.
• Strong empathy and understanding of individual needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff and parents.
• Patience and resilience; ability to provide emotional support.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving needs.
• Knowledge of teaching methodologies and resources for supporting individuals.
• Education qualifications in teaching assistant role desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support and assistance to all children.
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to plan and deliver tailored lessons and activities to meet the student's unique needs.
• Support the student's academic, social, and emotional development, promoting their self-confidence and independence.
• Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where the student can thrive.
• Adapt teaching strategies and resources to accommodate the student's learning style and abilities.
• Assist with the assessment of the student's progress and provide feedback to the classroom teacher and parents.
• Foster positive relationships with the student and establish clear communication channels with the school and parents.
• Uphold the school's values, policies, and procedures.
