Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd is recruiting a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join one of the UK's leading nursery providers in Saffron Walden. This role offers part-time and full-time positions with flexible hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm.

You will support children's learning under EYFS, plan engaging activities, and work with a supportive nursery team to ensure safety and development. Prior nursery experience and recognised Early Years qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• For this Nursery Practitioner position, candidates applying for qualified roles must hold a recognised Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
• Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners.
• Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Educators.
• Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or an equivalent recognised childcare qualification.
• Other recognised and accepted Early Years qualifications, subject to the nursery's requirements.
• Demonstrate that qualifications meet the nursery's staffing ratios.
• Previous nursery/early years experience is desirable; EYFS experience is beneficial.
• We welcome applicants with qualifications but limited experience.
• For candidates without a recognised childcare qualification, eligibility depends on vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children's learning and development in line with EYFS.
• Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Supporting children's communication, social skills and emotional development.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Assisting with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and indoor/outdoor play.
• Maintaining a safe environment and following safeguarding procedures.
