Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Nursery Practitioner for an Early Years setting in Derby, DE21. This full-time role involves helping children learn through play, supporting individual and small group activities, and encouraging independence throughout the day.

Shift patterns run from 8:00am to 6:00pm depending on the rota; driving is helpful but not essential. A Level 2/3 Childcare qualification or equivalent is preferred, with competitive pay and ongoing CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification, equivalent Early Years qualification, or at least six months of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum and Early Learning Goals.
• Understanding of continuous provision and learning through purposeful play.

Responsibilities

• Support children through individual and small group learning.
• Create stimulating activities linked to the Early Years Curriculum and Early Learning Goals.
• Encourage independence and provide personal care as required.
