Job summary

TeacherActive Ltd. is recruiting enthusiastic Nursery Practitioners to support a range of nursery settings across Colchester and surrounding areas, with flexible hours and competitive pay.

You will work with passionate early years teams to support children's learning, daily routines and safeguarding in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners (or working towards)
• Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Educators (or working towards)
• CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualifications (or equivalent)
• Other recognised Early Years qualifications may be considered

Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development and daily activities.
• Plan and deliver engaging play-based activities.
• Create a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment.
• Support children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Assist with daily routines including meals, toileting and rest periods.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain high standards of care

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about children's learning and development, understand the importance of early years education and can bring a positive, caring and professional approach into a nursery environment.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We welcome applications from candidates holding relevant Early Years and Childcare qualifications, including:

Level 2 Diploma for Early Years Practitioners.

Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Educators.

CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualifications.

Other recognised and relevant Early Years qualifications.

Candidates currently working towards a recognised childcare qualification may also be considered, depending on their experience and the requirements of the setting.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

Supporting children's learning, development and everyday activities.

Planning and delivering engaging play-based activities.

Creating a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment.

Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development.

Assisting with daily routines, including meals, toileting and rest periods.

Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.

Following safeguarding procedures and maintaining a high standard of care.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting.

A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification, or currently working towards one.

A genuine passion for supporting children's development.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.

Reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude.

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
