Job summary

Stepping Stones Nurseries Ltd in Warrington is looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our caring team and support young learners daily.

You will observe, assess and plan activities to deliver outstanding early years care, while maintaining high-quality environments and safeguarding procedures. DBS checked and Level 2+ childcare qualification are required; energy, creativity and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Full and relevant DfE recognised childcare qualification at Level 2 or above such as NNEB, NVQ or Early Years Educator as a minimum requirement.
Successful applicants must complete a DBS Enhanced Application or present a current DBS Certificate registered to the DBS Update Service.

Responsibilities

Observe, assess, and plan effectively to deliver outstanding learning opportunities and care for children.
Maintain high standards of quality in the nursery environment, resources, and experiences.
Safeguard and promote health, safety and welfare of children.
Be aware of signs of abuse and neglect and how to report them.
Demonstrate knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage safeguarding requirements.
Liaise with external agencies and parents to provide the best care.
Work as part of a team, communicating effectively for smooth nursery operations.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our highly regarded Stepping Stones Day Nursery Team in Warrington as a Nursery Practitioner.

Responsibilities

Observe, assess, and plan effectively in order to deliver outstanding learning opportunities and exceptional care for children in the early years.
Provide high standards of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources, and experiences offered to the children so they can access continuous provision, play, learn and develop.
To safeguard and promote the health, safety, and welfare of children.
To be aware of the signs of abuse and neglect and how to report these.
To have a great knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage safeguarding and welfare requirements.
To liaise with external agencies and parents to provide the best care for children.
To work as part of a team, communicating effectively to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and giving support to other team members wherever needed.
