Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a permanent Nursery Practitioner (Level 2 or Level 3) for a full-time role in Forest Row, East Sussex. The position offers stable, long-term employment with consistent hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and opportunities to develop within a welcoming nursery setting.

You will plan and deliver EYFS activities, support Key Person responsibilities, and maintain high standards of safeguarding and DBS compliance.

Qualifications

NVQ / CACHE / NCFE Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or equivalent.
Strong EYFS knowledge and safeguarding protocols.
Experience in a UK nursery or early years setting.
Enhanced DBS check via Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
Reliable, caring, long-term commitment to an early years career.

Responsibilities

Delivering EYFS Education: Planning and running engaging, play-based activities tailored to children's developmental needs.
Key Person Duties: Managing a dedicated group of key children, tracking milestones, and updating progress records.
Providing High-Quality Care: Ensuring a safe, clean, and emotionally supportive environment for babies and young children.
Parental Engagement: Building strong relationships with parents and carers for daily updates on progress.
Safeguarding & Health: Upholding high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and child protection.

Requirements & Qualifications

Qualification: NVQ / CACHE / NCFE Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding protocols.
Experience: Previous experience working in a UK nursery, early years, or pre-school setting.
DBS: An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to complete one).
