Job summary

The East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our Folkestone team, delivering high‑quality early years education and taking a key person role with children and families. You will need EYFS experience, a Level 3 childcare qualification, and a solid track record in a nursery setting, with a focus on welfare, safeguarding and inclusive practice.

This full‑time role offers 30 hours per week, a salary of £21,227, and opportunities for development and progression

We are looking for hardworking, experienced Level 3 practitioners with the knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality care and education and make a difference in children's lives. You must have experience with working within a nursery environment and an understanding of the EYFS. The position will be required to take on a key person role in delivering high-quality early years education, working in partnership with parents/carers and implementing welfare requirements to the highest standards. You will be able to demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively at all levels including professional, practitioner level and to engage with children, parents and families. The candidate will also need to be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of child development and children's needs and knowledge of relevant health and safety and the proven ability to act upon this to ensure the environment is always safe. You will understand policies and procedures in relation to equality and inclusive practice and be able to implement this in their work. The candidate will also be comfortable to take on other responsibilities as deemed necessary.
