Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting a qualified Nursery Practitioner for a friendly Cardiff nursery from Monday to Friday. The role involves creating a safe, stimulating environment and supporting children's curiosity and wellbeing.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2/3 in CCPLD or EYPS, possess strong EYFS knowledge, and demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills. Salary is paid hourly, with DBS checks and free safeguarding training provided.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development (CCPLD) or Early Years Practitioner Status.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend staff meetings and trainings (evenings/weekends).

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: Between £12.88 and £14.25 Per Hour

Hours: Between 7.15am-6.00pm - Monday to Friday

Expectations

• To create a safe, secure, stimulating and happy environment which encourages the development of the children so that a first-class service is delivered to children and parents at all times.
• To ensure the Nursery’s high standards are met and exceeded at all times by the team.
• To be a role model for the team.
• Act as a positive role model for staff and children.
• Ensure safeguarding, health, fire and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings (can take place in the evenings and on weekends)

Requirements

• Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development (CCPLD) or Early Years Practitioner Status
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A caring, patient and proactive approach
• A drivers lisence is desireable, but not essential.
