Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an Early Years Nursery Practitioner for a full-time position in Caerphilly. The role runs Monday to Friday from 7.15am to 6.00pm, with hourly pay between £12.88 and £14.25.

You will work in a friendly, nurturing nursery in Cardiff, contributing to children’s curiosity, creativity and wellbeing. The ideal candidate holds Level 2/3 in CCPLD or EY Practitioner Status, has a solid EYFS knowledge, strong communication and teamwork, and a caring, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2/3 qualification in Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development (CCPLD) or Early Years Practitioner Status.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Caring, patient and proactive approach.
• Driver’s license is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• To create a safe, secure, stimulating and happy environment for children.
• Ensure the Nursery’s high standards are met and exceeded by the team.
• Be a role model for staff and children.
• Act as a positive role model for staff and children.
• Ensure safeguarding, health, fire and safety procedures are followed.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings (evenings/weekends).
