Job summary

Academics is seeking a Nursery Practitioner for a full-time role in Bromley/Orpington to support children's learning and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing nursery.

Nursery Practitioner

Location: Bromley / Orpington

Start Date: September 2026

Hours: Full-time, standard nursery working hours

The Role

The successful candidate will support children's learning, development and wellbeing in a safe, nurturing and stimulating nursery environment.

• Providing high-quality care and support to children
• Planning and supporting engaging activities appropriate to children's ages and stages of development
• Supporting children's learning and development
• Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment
• Building positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues
• Following nursery policies and safeguarding procedures

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
• Holds a relevant childcare qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare)
• Is caring, enthusiastic, dependable and hardworking
• Has a good understanding of safeguarding and the EYFS
• Works well as part of a team
• Is passionate about providing excellent care and learning opportunities for children

DBS Requirement

Applicants must have a fully enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to pay for and complete a new enhanced DBS check before commencing employment.

Salary will be determined by the successful candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, and will be in accordance with the client's pay policy
