Job summary

Clevelands Preparatory School in Bolton is seeking a Nursery Practitioner to create a safe, stimulating environment for babies and toddlers. You will support development through purposeful play and meaningful interactions, during a long daily shift from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, all year round.

This role requires a Level 3 Early Years qualification (or Level 2 with training towards Level 3), strong communication and safeguarding knowledge, and a patient, child-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification or Level 2 with commitment to train to Level 3.
• Understands the EYFS framework and child development.
• Demonstrates safeguarding knowledge and health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support children’s learning and development through engaging activities and structured play.
• Assist with personal care routines with sensitivity and professionalism.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating and caring environment where children feel secure, valued and inspired to explore. You will support babies and young children during their most important developmental years, guiding their social, emotional and cognitive growth through purposeful play and meaningful interactions.

About the Role and You

Salary: Based on experience.

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who:

• Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification, or Level 2 and is willing to train towards Level 3
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills
• Has a warm, approachable and professional manner
• Understands the EYFS framework and child development
• Has knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety procedures
• Works well as part of a team
• Brings a patient, caring and child-centred approach to their practice
