Job summary

VN Appointments is seeking a Nursery Operative / Labourer for a well-established horticultural business near Maidstone. This hands-on role involves potting, planting, watering and general plant maintenance within a busy nursery environment.

You will work as part of a production team, handle stock movement, assist with propagation, maintain tidy growing areas and prepare orders for dispatch. Previous nursery experience in bedding plants or glasshouses is essential, along with a positive attitude

• Experience in a commercial glasshouse environment is essential

Requirements

• Previous experience working within a commercial bedding plant or herbaceous plant nursery is essential
• Experience working within a commercial glasshouse environment is essential
• Good practical horticultural knowledge
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Candidates may currently be working as a Nursery Operative, Nursery Assistant, Glasshouse Operative, Horticultural Labourer, Propagation Assistant or Nursery Production Operative.
