Job summary

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust invites a qualified nursery nurse to join our busy nursery. You will care for children from 3 months to 5 years, plan and carry out age-appropriate activities, and complete regular assessments.

The role requires a Level 3 (or above) childcare qualification, understanding of the EYFS, OFSTED standards, and Paediatric First Aid. You should be able to work in a team and on your own initiative, and liaise with parents and carers.

Qualifications

• Requires a Level 3 childcare qualification or above.
• Experience working with children is desirable.
• Good understanding of child development and OFSTED standards.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to meet the needs of children from 3 months to 5 years of age.
• Plan, observe and carry out age-appropriate activities.
• Carry out regular assessments on the children's development.
• Liaise with parents and carers.
• Be understanding of children's needs and emotions.
• Complete paperwork on time.
