Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Nursery Assistant for a private nursery in the DE11 area. The role is long-term with potential permanent placement, for full-time or part-time hours above 30 per week.

You will support daily nursery tasks, supervise children, plan age-appropriate activities, maintain a safe environment and assist learning and development. The ideal candidate has Level 2/3 in Early Years, EYFS knowledge, and excellent communication in a team.

Qualifications

• A Level 2/3 in Early Years or Childcare.
• Experience in nursery or Early Years setting.

Job description

TecherActive is proud to be working with a private nursery in the DE11 area. The setting is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join its friendly Early Years team and help provide a safe, engaging and nurturing environment.

The nursery is looking to appoint a Nursery Practitioner on a long-term basis, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate, working full-time or part-time for over 30 hours per week. The successful Nursery Assistant will support with daily nursery assistant duties, including supervising children, planning age-appropriate activities, maintaining a safe environment and supporting children’s learning and development.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
• Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS
• A caring and patient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, reliable and enthusiastic attitude
