Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. in Warrington seeks a Nursery Manager to lead overall nursery operations, safeguarding, and SEND support. You will manage staffing, recruitment, training, and performance, ensuring EYFS compliance and high-quality teaching and care.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with parents, and a commitment to safeguarding. You will oversee quality assurance, policy compliance, and ongoing improvement initiatives within the setting.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (minimum requirement), including GCSE.
• Proven leadership or management experience in an early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and SEND.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong, inspirational leadership to the nursery team.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery and ensure smooth operations.
• Lead staff recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisals, and performance management.
• Ensure effective staff deployment and maintain EYFS ratios.
• Support staff training, wellbeing, and progression.
• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and manage safeguarding.
• Lead SENCo responsibilities and inclusive practice.
• Monitor quality, curriculum and improvement plans in line with EYFS.
• Foster partnerships with parents and ensure Ofsted readiness and compliance.
