Job summary

Acorn Childcare - Cold Harbour Day Nursery & Nature Kindergarten is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead our team and uphold high standards of care and education in a nature‑focused setting.

You will drive outstanding outcomes for children, families and staff, oversee daily operations, safeguarding and Ofsted readiness, and champion outdoor learning across our nursery and nature kindergarten.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a nursery or early years setting.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Passion for outdoor learning and child-centred approach.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team and collaborate with families.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall nursery operations and daily management.
• Drive high-quality play-based learning aligned to EYFS.
• Ensure safeguarding, compliance and Ofsted readiness.
• Support families with empathy and effective communication.
• Oversee budgeting, occupancy and staffing.
