Job summary

TEJ Education in Tooting, South West London, is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a busy nursery setting. You will ensure high standards of care and education while supporting the continued development of the team and maintaining compliance.

The role involves day-to-day management, safeguarding, Ofsted readiness, building strong relationships with parents, and driving staff development in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or senior Early Years leadership.
• Holds a recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Good safeguarding knowledge and Ofsted requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of the nursery.
• Motivate and develop the Early Years team.
• Maintain high standards across EYFS.
• Support safeguarding, health & safety and compliance.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers.
• Support staff development, supervision and training.
• Maintain high standards in preparation for Ofsted.
• Ensure occupancy, staffing and nursery operations are effectively managed.
