Job summary

Willing Recruitment is seeking an established Nursery Manager in Wales to lead day-to-day operations and guide a dedicated team across baby, toddler and pre-school rooms.

The successful candidate will have at least three years of Nursery Manager experience, a Level 5 childcare/EY qualification, and strong EYFS knowledge to ensure safeguarding, Ofsted readiness, and high-quality early years education. Salary up to £44,500 per year.

Qualifications

• A Level 5 childcare/Early Years qualification or above.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Nursery Manager
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements
• Proven experience leading and developing a nursery team
• Confidence managing budgets and the financial performance of a setting
• Experience overseeing staffing, occupancy and day-to-day nursery operations
• A passion for creating environments that encourage curiosity, independence and individual development

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the setting
• Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team
• Maintain consistently high standards of Early Years care and education
• Ensure the EYFS is embedded effectively across the baby, toddler and pre-school rooms
• Oversee budgets, staffing and nursery resources
• Manage occupancy and support the ongoing success of the setting
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, compliance, health and safety
• Support continuous improvement across all areas of the nursery
• Ensure learning environments evolve around children's interests and developmental needs
• Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and families
