Castle Court is seeking an inspirational Nursery Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our Nursery and guide the Nursery Team through future developments.

The successful candidate will be qualified to work in Early Years at Level 3 or above and have proven supervisory experience. The role starts January 2027, is permanent, and runs 8:00–16:30 during term-time, with potential to become year-round from September 2027. Castle Court offers a supportive community in rural Dorset.

Job description

We are looking for an inspirational Nursery Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our Nursery, as well as guide the lovely Nursery Team through future developments. This is a key role not only in the Nursery but as part of the wider school community. Our new team member will need to be qualified to work in Early Years at Level 3 or above, and have proven experience of working in a similar setting in a supervisory capacity.The role is available from January 2027 and is offered on a permanent basis. We would like our Nursery Manager to work from 8am-4.30pm every day during term times, but there is potential for growth and development of the role and it may be that the position becomes year-round from September 2027.

Our Nursery is a wonderful place to be. From the tender age of 2, we encourage children to learn through play; however, we also give academic, sporting and creative input in the form of Sports, Dance and Music lessons every week. There are Parents' Evenings in the Autumn and Spring Terms, and the children receive a written report in the Summer Term. We use EvidenceMe to write and record observations for parents.
