Job summary

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is opening a brand new nursery in Balsall Common in January 2027 and seeks an exceptional Nursery Manager to lead the new setting. You will oversee care and education while building a nurturing environment for children and staff.

The role demands strong EYFS knowledge, leadership and excellent communication skills, with full-time hours from 7:30am to 6:30pm and a commitment to safeguarding and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years qualification as defined by the Department for Education
• DBS enhanced disclosure
• Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate
• Safeguarding training and qualification
• Minimum of 2 years management experience
• Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements
• Proven history of achieving Good or Outstanding ratings
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Full-time (40 hours) position, 7:30am–6:30pm

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain policies and procedures in compliance with regulations
• Manage day-to-day nursery operations, build local reputation, and handle admin
• Embed the Banana Moon Curriculum in practice
• Lead nursery operations and onboard team members
• Build relationships with families and support child development milestones
• Ensure health, safety and wellbeing of staff and children
