Nursery Manager Opportunity in Oxford

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Nursery Manager to join a lovely nursery in Oxford, Oxfordshire. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on management style, excellent knowledge, and understanding of EYFS and statutory welfare requirements.

Person Specification:

• NVQ Level 3 Childcare qualification or above
• Experience of leading and motivating teams
• Track record of involvement in Ofsted inspections
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
• Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role

Nursery Manager Responsibilities:

• Recruitment, training, and development of staff team, ensuring all staff understand and follow nursery policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the director to manage budgets, occupancy levels, and KPIs.
• Assist in the recruitment of nursery staff, manage inductions, supervisions, and appraisals.
• Lead the team and support in EYFS planning, ensuring children are learning and cared for in a safe, caring environment.
• Maintain children's observations, assessment, and development records.
• Manage marketing activities such as newsletters, open days, and promotions.
• Take lead responsibility for Safeguarding and Health & Safety, ensuring all staff follow policies and procedures.
• Promote diversity and equal opportunity.
• Work in partnership with parents to build caring and trusting relationships.
• Ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
• Lead by example, working flexibly and promoting high standards of care and education.
• Work 40 hours per week.
