Job summary

Hedgehog Recruitment is seeking a Nursery Early Years Manager to lead a nurturing independent day nursery in the UK. You will oversee environments, recruitment and staff training to build an outstanding setting for children.

You will drive quality childcare, foster a strong staff team and ensure EYFS/Ofsted compliance, while maintaining excellent communication with parents and external agencies. This is a full-time 40-hour week role with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification.
• Minimum 2+ years of managerial experience in a nursery environment.
• Knowledge of the EYFS and all Early Years legislation.
• Experience with Ofsted inspections.
• Strong communication with parents and external agencies.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills.

Job description

Nursery Early years Manager

We are a beautiful, friendly independent day nursery. We are looking for a new Nursery Manager who has the passion for Early years and can lead a committed team.

You will be responsible for all the elements which create an outstanding nursery from environments to recruitment and staff training.

You will be instrumental in the development of quality childcare, an amazing staff team and ensuring we are optimising the potential of every child in our care.

You must be well organised, conscientious, motivated and have previous experience managing an early years provision.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years Qualification


• Minimum 2+ years of managerial experience in a nursery environment.


• Complete knowledge of the EYFS and all Early Years legal requirements and legislation


• Been responsible for and undertaken an Ofsted Inspection.


• Good communication skills with parents and experience with liaising with outside agencies


• Excellent organisational and communication skills.


• Evidence of strong, positive team management skills and leadership.


• An enthusiastic, determined and innovative approach to all aspects of the role

Desirable:

• Leadership training.


• Paediatric First Aid trained


• Designated Safeguarding lead trained


• Senco training

You will be working Full-time 40 hours a week - Ideally Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm, a 4 day working week can be discussed.

Salary negotiable and is dependant on experience.
