Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead a busy Islington nursery on a temporary basis for 3-6 months. You will oversee day-to-day operations, support the nursery team, and ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and early years practice are maintained.

The role requires strong leadership, EYFS knowledge and Ofsted compliance, Monday to Friday work, and an ASAP start. If you can motivate staff, manage planning and development, and safeguard children's welfare,

Qualifications

Temporary Nursery Manager - Islington

Location: Islington, London
Duration: 3-6 months
Hours: Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to join a welcoming nursery in Islington on a temporary basis for an initial 3-6 month period.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident childcare professional who can provide strong leadership, support the nursery team, and ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding and early years practice are maintained.

The Role

As Temporary Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the nursery, leading and supporting the team, and creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for children.

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the nursery
  • Leading, motivating and supporting the nursery team
  • Ensuring high standards of safeguarding, health & safety and child welfare
  • Maintaining strong relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Ensuring the nursery meets EYFS and Ofsted requirements
  • Supporting staff development and performance
  • Overseeing planning, observations and children's learning and development
  • Managing staffing, rotas and resources effectively
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced Nursery Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up
  • Confident leading a team and managing nursery operations
  • Knowledgeable about the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
  • Organised, proactive and able to work well under pressure
  • Passionate about providing high-quality early years education and care
  • Available to start ASAP
  • Able to commit to Monday-Friday for the duration of the temporary assignment
