Job summary

Inspired Education Group is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager for Parson’s Green Nursery in London. You will lead daily operations, oversee an outstanding EYFS curriculum, and ensure safeguarding and OFSTED standards are met.

You will manage staff development, foster strong parent partnerships, and ensure high-quality care across the setting. This role is term-time, 40 hours per week, with opportunities for ongoing professional training.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above.
• Experience as Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager in an early years setting.
• Excellent working knowledge of EYFS framework, safeguarding, and OFSTED requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of Cortayne Road nursery site, ensuring a safe, caring environment for children, staff and families.
• Oversee delivery of an outstanding EYFS curriculum and ensure progress for all children.
• Ensure OFSTED readiness and safeguarding compliance across the setting.
• Lead and support staff through coaching, training and performance development.
• Maintain high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, and care.
• Oversee planning and assessment to align with early learning outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers and communicate development and wellbeing.
• Manage staffing, rotas, recruitment support and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure policies and health & safety requirements are implemented and maintained.

We are now looking for an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead our Cortayne Road site. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong early years leader to oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, inspire and support staff, and ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and education are consistently delivered. This is a term time only, and can be done over 4 or 5 days a week. 40 hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Cortayne Road nursery site, ensuring a safe, caring, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children, staff, and families.
• To oversee the delivery of an outstanding play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables every child to make excellent individual progress.
• To ensure the nursery consistently meets and exceeds OFSTED and safeguarding requirements.
• To lead, motivate, and support the nursery team through effective management, coaching, training, and performance development.
• To maintain high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour management, and care throughout the setting.
• To oversee planning and assessment processes to ensure activities are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with early learning outcomes.
• To build strong and positive relationships with parents and carers, ensuring effective communication regarding children’s development and wellbeing.
• To manage staffing, ratios, recruitment support, rotas, and overall operational effectiveness within the nursery.
• To ensure policies, procedures, and health & safety requirements are implemented and consistently maintained.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or above
• Previous experience in a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager within an early years setting.
• Excellent working knowledge of the EYFS Framework, safeguarding, and OFSTED requirements.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills.
• A passion for delivering outstanding childcare and early years education.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with staff, children, and families.
• Confidence in managing nursery operations, compliance, and staff development.
