Job summary

Bright Horizons Hedge End Day Nursery and Pre School is seeking a Nursery Manager to lead a dedicated team in delivering outstanding care and education for all children. You will be the Designated Safeguarding Lead, partner with support teams, and drive recruitment, development and commercial plans to support the nursery's growth.

A strong track record in leadership, safeguarding and quality pedagogy is essential.

Qualifications

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
  • Experience in an Early Years leadership role (Nursery Manager/Deputy/Assistant).
  • Experience with regulatory inspections achieving Good/Outstanding.
  • Experience developing high performance teams with regulatory compliance and high-quality pedagogy.
  • Confident decision maker with balance of commercial and service excellence in a regulated setting.
  • Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge and legislative understanding.
  • Ability to build trust and partnerships with colleagues and parents/carers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to deliver outstanding care and education for all children.
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and manage safeguarding policies.
  • Collaborate with support office teams to recruit, nurture and develop staff.
  • Identify and implement commercial plans to deliver growth and optimise revenue and costs.
  • Ensure staffing levels meet regulatory ratios and quality standards.

You will act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, holding overall responsibility for the day to day running of the nursery, and management of safeguarding policies. You will work in partnership with support office teams to recruit, nurture, and continuously develop high performing colleagues, as well as identify and implement commercial plans and strategies to deliver FTE growth.
