Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in Greenwich. The role is full-time, with an ASAP start and a temporary contract through the current academic year, with potential extension or permanence based on performance.

The successful candidate will deliver 1:1 support to SEN pupils, assist teachers with lesson delivery, and help maintain a positive, safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year KS1 or KS2 UK experience.
• SEN experience with children.
• Safeguarding training updated in the last year.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a SEN pupil.
• Assist with learning activities and classroom routines.
• Support inclusion and behaviour management as directed by teaching staff.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team, full time, September start!

The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Greenwich, SE10.
• Type of work - LSA - 1:1 support with SEN individuals.
• Position - Learning Support Assistant
• Contract or position start date - ASAP START
• Duration / Likely Duration - Until end of the academic year July 2027 (possibly on-going)
• Contract or position end date (if applicable) - July 2027
• Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary Contract
• Full time/part time - Full time
• Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 100 per day
• Hours - 8:30 am - 4pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year Key Stage 1 OR 2 experience in the UK
• SEN experience working with children
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
