Job summary

Prospero Teaching in Colchester is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support pupils with SEN in a busy classroom. The role begins 01/09/2026 and is full-time, with Monday to Friday hours from 08:30 to 15:30 and a 30-minute unpaid break.

The successful candidate will have classroom experience, be comfortable managing challenging behaviour, and be eligible to work in the UK with an enhanced DBS. Prospero Teaching offers CPD and ongoing support.

• Minimum rate of pay Minimum rate - £90- £110
• Hours - Monday to Friday - 08.30 - 15.30 30 mins unpaid break

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have experience working in a classroom setting
• Must have experience with SEN needs
• Must be comfortable with challenging behaviour

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
