Job summary

Krishna Avanti Primary School Croydon is seeking a Learning Coach to support nursery learners aged 3–4, delivering high-quality classroom assistance and targeted interventions. You will work closely with teachers to ensure an engaging curriculum and inclusive practice, fostering pupil progress and wellbeing.

The role requires strong communication, literacy and numeracy, with a focus on safeguarding and building positive relationships in a multicultural setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent level of literacy and numeracy.
• Strong communication skills in person and in writing.
• Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities.
• Ability to understand child development and learning processes and barriers to learning.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of all students.

Responsibilities

• Assist class teachers and school leaders in delivering high-quality learning experiences for Nursery pupils.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and adapt approaches to meet individual needs, including SEND or EAL needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, leaders and external professionals for targeted interventions and pupil progress.
• Promote positive behaviour, social and emotional development, and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times.
• Engage with families and contribute to the wider school community and ongoing professional development.
