Job summary

Krishna Avanti Primary School Croydon is seeking a passionate Learning Coach to support our 3-4 year-olds in Nursery and across the primary phase. You will work with teachers to provide high-quality classroom support and lead targeted interventions.

You will build strong relationships with pupils, adapt approaches for SEND and EAL, promote wellbeing and safeguarding, and engage with families to support pupil progress.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy levels
  • Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to understand child development and learning barriers

Responsibilities

  • Assist class teachers and leaders to ensure the best learning experiences for children
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, adapting approaches to meet individual needs including SEND or EAL
  • Work with teachers and external professionals to deliver targeted interventions and monitor pupil progress
  • Promote positive behaviour, social and emotional development and uphold safeguarding
  • Engage with families and participate in ongoing professional development

Job description

Grade: Grade 3, £28,403 per annum, pro rata . Approximately £19,686 per annum (0.69309 FTE)

About us and the role

We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated team of Learning Coaches for our Nursery provision at Krishna Avanti Primary School Croydon working specifically with our 3 - 4 year-old class at a vital stage in their early development.

Krishna Avanti Primary School Croydon are seeking a skilled and motivated Learning Coach to support teaching and learning across our primary phase.

Working closely with teachers and colleagues, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality classroom support, leading targeted interventions, and helping pupils to access a broad and engaging curriculum. You will work with children with a range of needs, adapting your approach to ensure every pupil can thrive both academically and personally.
