Job summary

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is opening a brand-new nursery in the UK and we’re hiring a Nursery Cook to join the team. You’ll plan and prepare nutritious meals for children aged 0–5, maintain high hygiene standards and help shape our mealtime routines from day one.

As a part-time cook, you’ll manage allergens, portions and stock, working closely with the nursery team to create a warm, welcoming kitchen that supports little ones' healthy development.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking for children, ideally in a nursery or school setting.
• Food hygiene qualifications (Level 2 or above preferred).
• Confidence with allergen management and safe food practices.
• An organised, reliable and positive person who takes pride in their kitchen.
• A team player who enjoys contributing to a warm and friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritious menus for young children.
• Cook fresh meals and snacks each day.
• Manage allergies, dietary requirements and portion sizes.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Order and organise stock efficiently.
• Work closely with the nursery team to support children’s needs.
