Job summary

Newpark Childcare is seeking a reliable Kitchen Assistant to support the nursery chef in preparing fresh, balanced meals and snacks for babies and young children. You will help maintain a clean and safe kitchen and work as part of a warm nursery team.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate preferred (training can be provided).
• Previous kitchen or food preparation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for babies and children under 5.
• Help with food preparation, serving, and portioning meals.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support stock organisation and kitchen supplies.
• Work closely with the nursery team to ensure children receive the best care and nutrition.
