The role may be worked in a hybrid manner (Head Office, nursery settings and remotely).
The Finance Assistant will provide support to the Bursars, Financial Controller and Finance Director for the finance functions across Little Dukes, Nurseries.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
- 5 GCSEs at Grade C (4) or above or equivalent including Maths and English.
- Knowledge of basic financial procedures, policies and accounting code structures.
- Ability to identify errors and make corrections to financial records.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word etc.)
Desirable
- AAT degree or Equivalent.
- Familiarity with making payments / submitting receipts via the BACS system.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience of performing control account reconciliations including bank reconciliations .
- Experience of utilising a computerised financial system (Xero, Sage or similar packages).
- Experience of tracing transactions from a management information system to an accounting system and vice versa.

- Ability to liaise closely with internal colleagues and external agencies.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
