Job summary

Happitots Paisley (Glasgow Airport) is seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Early Years Practitioner Supply to support our high-quality childcare team. Roles are on-site in Paisley with flexible hours under a zero-hour contract, welcoming both qualified and unqualified applicants.

As an on-call Nursery Assistant, you will help provide learning opportunities, care and safeguarding for children, while supporting staff coverage during holidays and training opportunities paid by Thrive.

Responsibilities

• Assist with learning opportunities and care to help young children develop.
• Maintain engaging and energetic interaction with children.
• Cover holidays and provide staff cover while gaining on-the-job experience.
• Provide effective care and learning to progress children and prepare them for school.
• Safeguard and promote health, safety and welfare of children.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet individual needs.

£12.80 Per Hour (Unqualified) or £13.45 per hour (Qualified)

As a Nursery Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Assist with learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps young children to develop.
• To have an engaging and energetic personality.
• Covering holidays and help provide staff cover whilst gaining on the job experience!
• Provide effective care and learning that enables children to progress and prepare them for school.
• Safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children.
• Work in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals to meet the individual needs of the children.
