Job summary

Flow Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Senior Deputy Nursery Manager to support a network of nurseries across the UK. The role focuses on implementing the EYFS, planning oversight, and maintaining records while fostering strong partnerships with parents and external agencies.

Ideal candidates will hold an NVQ level 3 in childcare/education and have prior room or team management experience; a formal management qualification is desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 childcare/education or equivalent qualification.
• Experience managing a room or a team in a nursery setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and EYFS.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, including overseeing planning and record keeping.
• Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in childcare policies and practices.
• Assist with accounting and management information for the nursery in line with company procedures.
• Assist with staff meetings, planning sessions and parent meetings.

Senior Deputy Nursery Manager – Qualifications & Experience

• A childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
• Previous experience of managing a room or team within a nursery setting
• A formal management qualification is desirable although not essential
• A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures

Senior Deputy Nursery Manager – Key Responsibilities

• To support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, including overseeing planning and record keeping
• Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members
• Support with the development of and maintaining highly professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies
• Remain abreast of current developments in childcare and education policies and practices
• Assist the Manager with maintaining accurate accounts for the nursery and produce management information in accordance with company procedures
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of regular staff, planning and parent meetings and other events.
