Job summary

Bright Horizons Reigate is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead the team at Holmesdale Road Nursery. You will mentor staff, ensure high standards of care and education, and act as the designated safeguarding lead to maintain safe practice.

You will collaborate with parents, local authorities and colleagues to drive quality, occupancy and profitability while supporting professional development and compliance with safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience within an Early Years leadership role or similar.
• Experience participating in regulatory inspections leading to a Good or Outstanding outcome.
• Strong decision-making with ability to lead and develop others.
• Solid knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, support and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead and manage safeguarding policies.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the nursery and maintain partnerships with parents and professionals.
• Contribute to succession planning, training and staff development plans.
• Support the nursery's commercial success through occupancy, retention and budgeting.
