Nest Royal Wharf is seeking a permanent Nursery Cook to run our kitchen at 30 Royal Crest Avenue, E16, London. You will prepare fresh breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for babies and toddlers, following our seasonal menu and ensuring allergen safety.

Work Monday to Friday in daytime hours with no evenings or weekends. You’ll gain paid training in food hygiene, benefit from private health insurance after one year, and join a supportive nursery team focused on healthy, varied meals for children.

Qualifikationen

• Experience cooking in a nursery, school, care home or other professional kitchen.
• A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, or willingness to complete it before you start.
• Confidence managing allergens and special diets.
• DBS Update Service will be arranged and kept valid.

Nest Royal Wharf is our nursery for babies and young toddlers at 30 Royal Crest Avenue, E16, by Pontoon Dock. We're looking for a permanent Nursery Cook to run our kitchen and cook fresh, healthy food that our children love, Monday to Friday, with no evenings or weekends.

What you'll do

• Cook fresh breakfasts, lunches, teas and snacks from our seasonal menu, which changes each term and rotates on a four-week cycle
• Cater safely for allergies and dietary needs in our nut‑free kitchen, including weaning and textured food for babies
• Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety standards, including temperature and cleaning records
• Order stock and manage deliveries within budget
• Work closely with the nursery team and parents, and occasionally help children with simple baking sessions

What we're looking for

• Experience cooking in a nursery, school, care home or other professional kitchen
• A Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate, or willingness to complete it before you start
• Confidence managing allergens and special diets
• Reliability, organisation and pride in your kitchen
• An enhanced DBS check: we'll arrange it, and you'll keep it registered on the DBS Update Service
