Shooting Stars Nurseries in Bromsgrove is seeking an experienced Nursery Cook/Chef to plan, prepare and serve healthy meals for children aged 0-5. You will create nutritious menus, cater for allergies, manage stock, and ensure high hygiene and safety standards.

The role is permanent, part-time (15 hours/week over two days) with competitive hourly pay and flexible working days. You will join a compassionate team focused on children's health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Planning, preparing and serving healthy meals for children aged 0-5.
• Catering for allergies, intolerances and dietary needs including cultural requirements.
• Experience with menu planning, stock control and food costing.

Responsabilités

• Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children aged 0-5.
• Create menus meeting nutritional needs and promote healthy eating.
• Cater for allergies, intolerances and special dietary requirements.
• Order food and kitchen supplies, manage stock levels and monitor costs.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and kitchen organisation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation and nursery procedures.
• Complete food safety records and kitchen documentation.
• Collaborate with the nursery team to ensure positive mealtime experiences.
• Demonstrate experience with menu planning, stock control and costing.
• Provide meals for children with allergies and dietary needs.
• Observe safe food storage and handling procedures.
